Hi Valerie! Funny you should comment, as I was going to be contacting you in the next few days about my endeavors. As you can see, I purchased a floor loom and am teaching myself how to use it per a study of Anni Albers and the Bauhaus Weavers. The first post of the blog is also my thesis abstract if your interested in reading it. I am assembling my committee and was curious if you knew any weavers/textile artists in the Tampa Bay area, preferably one with architecture knowledge? I wish I was closer, as you would be a great addition to my team! And, what was Shani's last name? I would like to get a copy of her thesis through the library. Thanks so much! I'm sure I'll be talking to you again soon.
Hi Kristen:
ReplyDeleteWanted you to know that I was chair of Shani's thesis. It was also on weaving and architecture. so, if I can be of any assistance, just let me know.
All the best,
Valerie
